The Recommendi code is a Quick Response (QR Code) code that can be read by many devices, including most smart phones.
Almost all phones in Japan have a QR-Code reader built-in, and free apps are available for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and others.
Snapping a QR code
Using the camera in the phone, you scan the image, and the application takes you straight to the survey in the browser of the device. The Recommendi survey automatically shows the version optimised for mobile devices. Your customers rate your service on their phone and you get the feedback immediately.
